“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 12:11).

Why do I preach only on sin and the Cross when others preach on "the goodness of man", or "the power of positive thinking” to make and create our own happiness, or how God wants you to be rich? I do not preach those things because they are not Biblical. They were not the message of Jesus and are not, nor will they ever be the message that I preach. The Bible says “there is none righteous, no not one,” that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:10) and that no way exists for man to get to Heaven except through the Cross of Christ! Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life. NO MAN can come to the Father EXCEPT THROUGH ME” (John 14:6).

In the New Testament there are 290 times in which God declares His love for man. In those same chapters there are more than 1,300 references to the atonement, 1,300 assurances that salvation can be had only through the Cross and the blood of Jesus Christ. Going to the Cross in repentance and allowing His precious atoning blood to wash over us is the only way.

There was only one door, only one entrance into the ark. As the worm had to crawl up to enter it the majestic Eagle also had to come down and enter the same way, through the same door. You see it doesn’t matter who you are, how famous you are, or how rich you are, the millionaire has to enter into Heaven the same way as the pauper - through the blood-stained Cross of Jesus Christ!

The bondage of sin and separation from God can be broken only through repentance at the Crimson Cross of Jesus Christ. "There is no other way and no other Name under Heaven whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). That is why I preach the Cross.
